Dr. Barrett is a visionary senior-level leader and influential big-picture thinker in education programs globally. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology with a specialization in Distance Education and Culture, and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus in Technology in Education. She earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie© course and member of the International Business Womens Group, Dubai Chapter. Dr. Barrett is the author and editor of numerous publications in technology in education and K-12 education in the development context.
Dr. Barrett is Managing Director of Nadya Mundo LTD, based in Dubai, UAE, with more than 25 years experience in leading and advising education programs worldwide. Dr. Barrett’s current development projects include conducting qualitative research on primary schools in Tanzania to determine factors leading to increased reading scores. Additionally, Dr. Barrett’s recent projects include conducting independent reviews of large-scale girls education programmes in Afghanistan and a volunteer program in Qatar, and doing evaluation research on a multi-donor security and justice program in Northern Syria.
