As Bareeq’s VP of Global Partnerships, David leads efforts to build relationships with organizations that ultimately provide the children and adults that Bareeq serves an enriching and impactful educational experience. As an international business and development professional, David has over 10 years of relevant experience in multicultural communication, partnership building, data management and quantitative and qualitative analysis, and nonprofit operations. David has worked with UNICEF, IRC, and AMIDEAST across the Middle East and Africa, and was a United States Peace Corps volunteer in the Gambia where he led a number of initiatives, including a microfinance project. Most recently, he worked for Foundation Center where he led efforts as team lead and project manager for a number of projects, including the development of a robust web portal in partnership with UNDP and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. David has his Bachelor degree in International Relations from Towson University and his Master degree from Columbia University in Information and Knowledge Strategy. Since graduating from Columbia University, David went on to join the faculty of the Information and Knowledge Strategy program where he co-teaches two executive-level graduate courses in Business Analytics Management and Visualization of Information. David has lived throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Europe and speaks Arabic, English, French, Italian, Mandinka, and Spanish.
