As an educator for many years, Roula's focus is realizing the potential of future generations through providing educational programs to conflict-affected areas.

Abdul Razak Al-Abed

Entrepreneur and consultant. Also he helps refugee children in Jordan and Syria. He is a member of SAHA (Syrian Arab Horse Association) Part of WAHO.    
Dr. Kerrin Ann Barret

Dr. Kerrin Ann Barret

Dr. Barrett is a visionary senior-level leader and influential big-picture thinker in education programs globally, and is the author and editor of numerous publications in technology in education and K-12 education in the development context. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology, and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus in Technology in Education. She earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie© course and member of the International Business Womens Group, Dubai Chapter.
Sarah Arango

Sarah Arango

Sarah is a doctoral (Ph.D.) student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin and has an Ed.M. and M.A. in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University. Sarah provides counseling services in English and Spanish and conducts research. Her research focuses on the experiences of minorities, identity development throughout the lifespan, gender issues, and the impact that oppression, discrimination, and prejudice has on mental health. Throughout her career, Sarah has worked with several nonprofit organizations (NGOs) that serve minority communities, children, adolescents, and adults, and has served on the board of directors for two of them.
David Carrey
VP of Global Partnerships

David Carrey

As Bareeq's VP of Global Partnerships, David leads efforts to build relationships with organizations that ultimately provide the children and adults that Bareeq serves an enriching and impactful educational experience. As an international business and development professional, David has over 10 years of relevant experience in multicultural communication, partnership building, data management and quantitative and qualitative analysis, and nonprofit operations. David has worked with UNICEF, IRC, and AMIDEAST across the Middle East and Africa, and was a United States Peace Corps volunteer in the Gambia. He holds a Master degree from Columbia University in Information and Knowledge Strategy and is on the faculty of Columbia University of the Information and Knowledge Strategy program where he co-teaches two executive-level graduate courses in Business Analytics Management and Visualization of Information.
Omar Hamwi
Advisory Board Member

Omar Hamwi

Omar Hamwi serves on the Board of Advisors, and VP of Business Development where he works with leadership on the organization’s strategy and digital marketing. Omar holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and certificate in Data Analytics from George Washington University, and a Bachelors degree in Economics from York University. He has worked with the World Bank Group (IFC) across the Middle East and North Africa as well as in global operations. He has also worked with the Mayor of Washington, D.C., Rwandan Government, and most recently as a management consultant in New York City. He speaks four languages including Arabic.
